Millicent Huser is the National Director of Compliance and Regulatory at Ascend Recovery Center, overseeing accreditation readiness, regulatory adherence, and quality assurance across Ascend's multi-state behavioral health network. Millicent's compliance framework spans DCF licensure under Florida Chapter 397, AHCA licensure for PHP and IOP, Joint Commission Behavioral Health Care accreditation standards, 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality protections, HIPAA Security Rule, and state-specific recovery residence regulations including FARR oversight in Florida. She leads the internal audit cycles, policy and procedure development, and corrective action planning required to maintain ongoing compliance with multiple regulatory bodies simultaneously. Millicent works directly with the clinical and operations teams to ensure that every program component — from intake documentation to discharge planning to drug screening protocols — meets or exceeds the standards required by each accrediting body.
