Dr. Joseph Milisitz, PhD, LCSW, MCAP
Clinical Director — Florida
Dr. Joseph Milisitz brings over 30 years of experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, and clinical leadership. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Master's Certified Addictions Professional, he holds a PhD in Clinical Sexology and an MSW from Adelphi University. Extensively trained in CBT, EMDR, and trauma-focused approaches, Dr. Milisitz oversees clinical programming, staff development, and evidence-based care delivery across Ascend’s Florida programs.

Medical Director — Florida
Dr. Jeffrey M. Bishop is board-certified in both family medicine and addiction medicine, bringing decades of experience to Ascend’s Florida programs. A graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, he previously served as Chief Medical Officer and Chief of Staff at Wellington Regional Medical Center. A U.S. Navy veteran, Dr. Bishop oversees medical protocols, detoxification services, and integrated care across Ascend's treatment programs.
