Anxiety Disorder Treatment
CBT, exposure and response prevention (ERP), and non-addictive medication management for GAD, panic disorder, and social anxiety.

Ascend Recovery Center treats anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, eating disorders, and dual diagnosis from our DCF-licensed Palm Beach Gardens facility. A board-certified addiction psychiatrist manages medication alongside CBT, EMDR, and trauma-informed therapy across PHP and IOP. The same clinical team treats mental health and any co-occurring substance use disorder concurrently — not sequentially.

According to SAMHSA, 21.5 million U.S. adults meet criteria for both a substance use disorder and a co-occurring mental illness in the past year. Treating these conditions in separate programs is the single biggest predictor of treatment failure.
At Ascend Recovery Center, a single multidisciplinary clinical team treats both — concurrently, in the same building, at the same level of care. Dual diagnosis treatment is the default care model when both diagnoses are present. PHP and IOP programming integrate psychiatric care from day one.

From the first call through long-term aftercare, the mental health journey at Ascend Recovery Center follows the same five sequential stages used across every level of care.

Ongoing
Mental-health care at Ascend is delivered by a named clinical team — a doctorate-level clinical director, a board-certified addiction psychiatrist who handles psychiatric medication management, and trauma-certified primary counselors.
The same team manages depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, and OCD that present alongside any substance use disorder.
Real stories from clients and families whose lives improved through integrated mental-health and addiction treatment.
“The clinical team treated my depression and substance use together. Before Ascend I was bouncing between a psychiatrist, a therapist, and a rehab — none of them talking to each other. Here it was one team, one plan.”
“EMDR with the trauma counselor at Ascend was the first thing that actually moved my PTSD symptoms. The pacing was careful and the medication piece was managed in lockstep with the therapy.”
“Family therapy was woven into the whole program, not bolted on. My parents finally understood the bipolar diagnosis and what daily life looks like with mood stabilizers.”
Treatment plans at Ascend are signed by named, licensed clinicians — not anonymous staff. Our clinical director, medical director, and trauma-certified counselor anchor every mental-health track.
